North Oxfordshire Artweeks takes place Sat 5th to Sun 13th May 2012. Kingham Lodge, in the heart of Kingham village, will be host to over 30 sculptors with more than 150 sculptures on display in the five acres of landscaped gardens.
All proceeds from the exhibition are being split between a number of charities aimed at helping sculptors or the promotion of art and sculpture in schools and elsewhere.
Specifically there will be grants for:
- Sculptors in Zimbabwe, struggling to exist in a country cut off by sanctions and economic chaos
- Art training at Take Heart, a community in India that helps sufferers from leprosy and their families
- Helen and Douglas House, a hospice in Oxford for young people and their families facing terminal illness
- Art education in local schools serving North Oxfordshire
Kingham Cottages Ltd is sponsoring the Sculpture at Kingham Lodge exhibition and they have underwritten the costs.
