Derek Elliott
Derek Elliott is a noted figure within the British furniture movement. A local Cotswold designer and craftsman, his work is increasingly branching out from the inside of the house into landscapes, inspired by his own immersion in the countryside.
Nature very rarely produces straight lines and so Derek builds on the elemental patterns and feelings that rise from the ground, to construct sculptural pieces that provide comfort to the eye from a distance and close up. A place to rest and contemplate the beauty of a garden.
Derek’s outdoor work originally started in collaboration with the garden designer Rosemary Verey, who taught him that a garden was a place in which to experience the fulsomeness of love.
