Lisa Pettibone

Lisa Pettibone is an American born, Surrey based visual artist, teacher and curator working in sculpture and installation. Expressing concepts related to gravity, tension, form and light in space, her practice investigates the nature of human perception, often through the lens of science. Using a variety of materials, including glass, her work evokes sensory experiences that aim to connect people to their natural surroundings. She has an MA in Art and Science from Central Saint Martins London, is a member of the Royal Society of British. Her indoor installation Instrument of Thought was shown at Somerset House London in 2022 and selected for the Aestheica Art Prize in 2023. She has worked with space scientists and her collaborative artwork plaque Fingertip Galaxy was launched on the Euclid Mission spacecraft in 2023.
